Mooncake is the traditional deli during the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival. Among all the different flavours, meat mooncake has always been the most popular. Not like our dumplings, mooncake is a bit more complicated to make. Most people nowadays only buy the ready-made mooncakes from the shop. In order to make some return of this old-fashioned craft, I asked a young gourmet of my generation to make the traditional meat mooncake in a healthier and modern manner. From the making of the filling to the dough, as well as how to serve and eat it. Hopefully, more young people could pick up this old skill from here and share it with their loved ones.
